Rewilding Bangladesh
Scott Trageser is the conservationist, researcher, award-winning photographer, and all-around nature junkie behind NatureStills Photography. He believes that striking wildlife imagery is a cornerstone of modern conservation, as it has the power to evoke appreciation for our imperiled ecosystems. Scott is a Co-founder and Director of the Creative Conservation Alliance, a non-profit organisation based in Bangladesh and also the President of The Biodiversity Group, an NPO focusing on biodiversity expeditions in Ecuador. Dedicated to the preservation of the natural world and an avid adventurer, he goes wherever endangered species are being overlooked.
The Creative Conservation Alliance (CCA) is dedicated to the ecological and cultural preservation within Bangladesh’s last remaining wild places. Through their grassroots efforts they aim to empower local people to become stakeholders of their own landscapes. They are achieving conservation success through partnerships with government and non-government stakeholders, empowerment of tribal communities, rigorous scientific research, and the sustainable protection of natural resources. With holistic conservation programs in the Chittagong Hill Tracts and species-specific research in Lawachara National Park, they are giving at-risk communities a voice and the tools to succeed in staving off the destruction that their lands face.
